Acanthus mollis (Bear's Breeches)

Acanthus mollis (Bear's Breeches) forms a large clump, approximately 90 cm high, of dramatic, sculptural deep green leaves. The purple and white flowers bloom on 150 cm flower stalks in summer.
This plant prefers any well drained soil and grows well in full sun or partial shade. There are generally no pest or disease problems.
