Aconitum carmichaelii 'Arendsii' produces blue flower spikes up to 4 feet tall in summer. It is a reliable hardy perennial and can be used as a substitute for delphiniums if delphiniums do not succeed in your garden.
This plant will grow in any reasonable well drained garden soil in a sunny or shady position.
