Agapanthus 'Headbourne Hybrids' (African Lily) is a stunning plant for a sunny border or a container. The green reed like leaves form a mound about 18 inches high and the clear blue flower heads (in varying shades of blue) reach about 2 to 3 feet tall. The flowers are out from July to September.
This plant will grow in any reasonable well drained garden soil in a sunny situation. It responds to water in the growing season and is also a good container plant, as it appears to like being pot-bound.
