Ajuga reptans 'Braunherz' (Bugle)

Ajuga reptans ‘Braunherz’ is the toughest and one of the most beautiful of the bugles. The metallic purple foliage carpets the ground in sunshine or shade. In spring, the flowers spikes up to 15 to 20 cm high are covered in wonderful intense blue flowers.
This plant will grow in any reasonable garden soil in sun or shade. It is happiest in moisture retentive soil in partial shade. It spreads by means of runners.
