Alcea rosea 'Nigra' (Hollyhock)

Alcea rosea 'Nigra' is a stunning 'black' (as you can see in the photo, the flowers are actually extremely dark red) flowered hollyhock. The plant is about 5 feet tall and the single flowers are out in summer.
This plant will grow best in a sheltered sunny spot with good drainage. It will generally self seed.
