 Alstroemeria (Peruvian Lily) is a truly spectacular plant for a sunny dry spot in the border. This one sends up shoots of green/glaucous foliage in spring, topped with the beautiful red flowers 3 feet high in early summer.

This plant will grow in any reasonable well drained garden soil in a sunny position.
