Aster x frikartii is not as common as some michaelmas daisies and could be more widely grown. The yellow eyed large lavender blue flowers are carried on stems 90cm tall from July into the autumn. It does not suffer from mildew like the true michaelmas daisies.
This plant will grow in any well drained garden soil in sun or shade.
