Astilbe Arendsii is a wonderful plant for the waterside garden or perennial border. The purple, pink, red or white fine feathery flower plumes rise 70 to 120 cm above the attractive divided green to coppery leaves.
This plant will grow well in any reasonable garden soil that does not dry out in sun or light shade. It is happiest in humus rich moist soil and will grow in boggy conditions.
