Astrantia major (Masterwort)

Astrantia (Masterwort) manages to look very delicate while actually being extremely hardy. The subtle white flowers tinged with a hint of green and pink are out from June to the end of the summer. It can survive in sticky clay soils and dry shade.
This plant will do best in rich moist soil in partial shade, although it will survive in poorer soil. It grows to a height of approximately 80 cm.
