Centranthus coccineus (Red Flowered Valerian)

Centranthus ruber coccineus (Red flowered valerian) is a fine plant for a dry sunny situation, and will even grow in dry walls. The foliage is greyish green and the flowers are out for a long period from June onwards. The height is about 2.5 feet. This plant will grow in the poorest of soils and usually self seeds.
This plant prefers any well drained soil and grows well in full sun. It is drought resistant.
