Centranthus ruber (Valerian)

Centranthus ruber (Valerian) is a fine plant for a dry sunny situation, and will even grow in dry walls. It is a British wild flower. The foliage is greyish green and the flowers are out for a long period from June onwards. The height is about 2.5 feet. This plant will grow in the poorest of soils and usually self seeds.
This plant prefers any well drained soil and grows well in full sun. It is drought resistant.
