Pampas Grass (cortaderia argentea) is the finest of ornamental grasses. The silver ostrich feather like plumes rise 90 to 180 cm above the expanding clump of leaves in summer.
This plant will grow in any reasonable well drained garden soil and prefers a sunny site.
