The flowers of geranium phaeum are beautiful, velvety and very dark red (almost black). They bloom in spring and early summer. The plant forms a mound of green rounded scalloped foliage from spring to autumn. Over time the clump expands to include several crowns. The flowers stalks are approximately 60 cm high.
Geranium phaeum plants will grow in any garden soil in sun or shade.
