Inula helenium (Elecampane)

Inula Helenium (Elecampane) is a giant for the back of the border or wild garden. The huge hairy leaves form an upright rosette. Then the characteristic large yellow daisy-like flowers appear in late summer on stalks approximately 1.5 metres high.
This plant will grow in any reasonable garden soil in sun or partial shade. It is happiest in moist well drained organic soil.
