Iris sibirica 'Tycoon' sends up 3 foot stems with lovely violet blue flowers in early summer. It is a moisture loving plant and looks good beside a pool.
Iris sibirica 'Silver Edge' plants will grow in any reasonable garden soil that does not dry out in sun or partial shade.
