Kniphofia citrina (Red Hot Poker)

Kniphofia citrina is a vigorous grower sending out leaves 30 inches long and then flower stems in summer 3 feet tall. The flower starts greenish yellow, then ages to yellow, and finally fades to greenish yellow.
This plant will grow in any reasonable well drained garden soil in a sunny position.
