Lychnis chalcedonica (Campion)

Lychnis chalcedonica (The Maltese Cross Campion) is a striking border plant with Maltese cross shaped flowers of the most intense scarlet in summer. The height is 45 to 90 cm.
This plant will grow in any reasonable garden soil. It will tolerate some dryness in summer and also makes a fine bog plant. It flourishes best in moist soil in full sun.
