Papaver orientale 'Allegro' (Oriental Poppy) is a stately plant producing a large clump of hairy greyish green leaves about 80 cm high, surmounted by huge scarlet poppy flowers with black centres in summer.
This plant will grow in any reasonable well drained garden soil in a sunny position.
