Pulmonaria rubra (Lungwort)

Pulmonaria rubra produces beautiful soft pinkish red flowers in early spring. The mid-green leaves make highly attractive groundcover approximately 35 cm high in shade.
Pulmonarias, which are also commonly known as lungwort or Jerusalem cowslip, will grow in sun or shade and in any reasonable garden soil. They are happiest in humus rich soil in partial shade.
