Thalictrum speciosissimum is a great plant for the back of the border or woodland garden. The characteristic fluffy yellow flower heads are carried on 3-4 foot stems in summer. The leaves and stems are an attractive glaucous colour.
This plant will grow in any reasonable well drained garden soil and in a sun or partial shade.
